Visa Overview

This visa is ideal for graduates seeking to gain post-study work experience in Australia. It does not require nomination of an occupation or a skills assessment, making it a flexible option for many degree holders.

The length of the visa depends on your qualification level, ranging from two to four years, with extended durations for Indian nationals with certain degrees.

Visa Requirements

To be eligible for the Post-Higher Education Work Stream, you must:

Hold, or have held in the last 6 months, an eligible student visa.
Have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s (coursework, extended, or research), or Doctoral degree in the last 6 months, following at least two years of study in Australia.
- Applicants with a Bachelor’s or Master’s (coursework or extended) must be under 36 years of age.
- Applicants with a Master’s by research or PhD can be under 50 years of age.
Meet the relevant English language requirements (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc.), unless exempt by passport.
Have adequate health insurance and meet the health and character requirements.

Note: A graduate diploma may be considered eligible if undertaken in the same or following academic year of your primary qualification, in a closely related field.
