Simon De Vere

Simon De Vere is a highly experienced Registered Migration Agent, bringing over a decade of migration advisory expertise and more than 20 years in senior roles within the former Department of Immigration and Border Protection (now the Department of Home Affairs). Since registering as an RMA in 2014, Simon has worked extensively across employer-sponsored, skilled, and family visa pathways, delivering tailored and strategic solutions to a wide range of clients.

He has a passion for helping families reunite and remain in Australia through the various visa programs. Simon also specialises in corporate migration and regularly works with HR teams and executives to develop effective visa strategies for Australian and international businesses. His strong understanding of migration law, paired with his commercial and government experience, enables him to provide practical, outcome-driven advice that aligns with business needs and compliance requirements.

He plays a key role in consultation and business development, meeting with prospective clients to assess their circumstances and determine the most appropriate visa pathways. In addition to managing individual caseloads, Simon oversees corporate accounts, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery to our business clients.

Prior to entering private practice, Simon held executive positions within the Department of Immigration, including Assistant Secretary and Regional Director roles, both in Australia and overseas. He also served as an Independent Reviewer with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT, now the ART), conducting independent reviews of Protection Visa decisions. This unique combination of regulatory, tribunal, and commercial experience allows Simon to provide well-rounded and strategic advice grounded in practical insight.
